ACC Urges EPA to Improve Chemical Risk Assessment Program

April 19, 2011 – In the light of a new report by the National Academy of Sciences, ACC’s Cal Dooley sent a letter to EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson urging the agency to make improvements to the Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS). The letter outlines several changes that would lead to more accurate evaluations of substances and ensure the best science is used to understand the safety of chemicals and their use in products.

ACC: Federal Regulatory System Must Be Improved

March 9, 2011 – In testimony before the U.S. House Subcommittee on Regulatory Affairs, Stimulus Oversight & Government Spending, ACC Vice President of Regulatory and Technical Affairs Michael Walls called for improvements to the federal regulatory system, including a requirement for cumulative impact assessments of proposed rules, to protect U.S. innovation, investment and jobs. » view news release



ACC CEO Reaffirms Support for Updating Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Before Congress

February 3, 2011 – In testimony before the Subcommittee on Superfund, Toxics and Environmental Health of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, ACC President and CEO Cal Dooley reiterated the Council’s desire to work with Congress and stakeholders to update the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
